Here are 10 ideas for birthday cakes that everyone will love

Whatever age you're celebrating, number cakes feel personal and they're very easy to make by cutting out the number twice

which you can do using a sheet cake or rectangular cake. Chilling the cake in the fridge before cutting it will make it less crumbly

is so that you can layer them with filling in between, which could be piped buttercream like this in any flavour or colour

For children's birthdays, or really at any age, you can create a character on your cake using homemade stencils

Print out your character and trace the details of each colour onto a different piece of parchment paper or wax paper
